Who is the Lionbridge crowd?

Lionbridge Crowd is the recruitment team for Lionbridge Enterprise Crowdsourcing. We are based in Ballina, Co. Mayo, Ireland. Lionbridge is a global company and our corporate headquarters are based in Waltham, Mass. USA. We recruit for work-from-home and telecommute positions that often require candidates to be bilingual, and have a strong interest in internet culture.

What kind of work do you hire for?

We offer part-time, work-from-home roles where individuals work all around the globe as Independent Contractors. The positions are related to IT and non-IT projects and business processes. You can find some of our crowd helping to improve the quality of internet services, while others are working from home to help with transaction processing or with the use of online mapping services. Our roles are stimulating and flexible.

What is the pay like?

We offer a competitive rate; in some instances this can be task-based for certain programs, while in others, it can be per-hour. Rates are set for each country, and we pay directly to your bank account using direct deposit. We provide further details on this during our recruitment process.

Do I have to pay to join, or pay any fees?

No. There is no sign-up fee, no membership fee, nothing. We simply pay you as our contractor to complete the work as specified.

So what are my obligations?

We ask that you provide us with one day’s notice should you chose to leave our roles. Other than that, we just ask that you participate in the role for which you were retained. You should also note that we hire roles per country; therefore, if you decide to move out of country, you may no longer be able to hold your position. We can clarify this point for you in our recruitment process.

You need to provide your own equipment to complete the work as outlined in our recruitment processes, i.e., PC/laptop, high speed internet connection etc.

Can I work on more than one project for Lionbridge?

As a freelancer, you are entitled to work on multiple roles for multiple clients.

What is the recruitment process?

The recruitment process can vary depending on the role you apply for, but in general, it involves an online assessment that you must pass to be considered for the role. We do not conduct interviews for our roles as we base competency and suitability on the online assessment results. Once you pass the assessment, you will then be exposed to live data to work on.
